Dr. Anju Prajapati Maharjan

Principal Dentist
Anju is the principal dentist at Village Dental Clinic. She qualified from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu. She moved to Sydney in 2008 and qualified from ADC in 2010. She is providing essential dental care to the local community. Away from the surgery, Anju loves to play with her daughters Arisa & Amy, cycling and cooking.

Dr. Mamata Maharjan

Dentist
Dr. Mamata Maharjan is gentle, caring and experienced general dentist. She has been providing all forms of general dentistry to the patients of all ages in Village Dental Ryde for the past 10 years. Her main focus is in preventative and conservative dentistry.

Dr. Mamata Maharjan has special interest in Root canal treatment and clear aligner orthodontics.

Dr. Mamata Maharjan is well known for her caring and friendly nature, passionate to help people overcome their dental fear and is dedicated to reassuring nervous patients.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Mamata Maharjan loves spending time with her family. She loves to read and travel.

Dr. Nael Malik

Dr Malik, our part time senior dentist. He has had over 25 years of experience in clinical dentistry. He was graduated from Adelaide University. He has special interest in surgery, prosthodontic and implant dentistry.

Dr. Bandana Shakya

Dentist
Dr Bandana Shakya graduated from Manipal College of Dental surgery, India in 2004. She practiced dentistry for 4 years in her home country “Nepal” in multi-disciplinary specialists practice and her own clinic. Having successfully completed Australian dental Council exam, she relocated to Australia in 2009. Since then, she has been practicing in Australia as a general dentist. She updates her skills participating in various continuing dental education courses .She has special interest in oral surgery and orthodontics. She has successfully completed 2 years training in Orthodontics through USA based internationally certified progressive orthodontic seminars. She is an Australian dental association member. She believes in helping people to get healthier and better smiles.

Dr. Sarita Adhikari

Dentist
Dr Sarita Adhikari graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2004. Sarita’s passion is in creating a friendly environment that welcomes all those who enter the practice. She believes that a good education is the key to prevent dental issues. For this reason, she takes time in listening and providing information to her patients. She enjoys practicing all aspects of general dentistry. She is keen in ongoing professional developments to improve her knowledge, skills and keeping up to date with latest development in dental care. When not working, Sarita loves spending time with her family and travelling. Sarita is a member of Australian Dental Association.

Dr. Joshua Zheng

Dentist
Dr Joshua Zheng grew up in Sydney dreaming of becoming a dentist since childhood. This dream was realized at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, where he graduated with BDSc (Hons). He is enthusiastic about getting to know his patients and helping them enjoy their dental visits as much as he does. He is also avid about his Christian volunteering ministry, piano performance, and improving his Mandarin.

Dr. George Chen

Dentist
Dr George Chen is a motivated dentist graduating from University of Adelaide with a concurrent Honors degree. Fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin), George enjoys help putting smiles on his patients. Outside of dentistry, he likes to travel, competing in basketball, as well as playing the piano and the cello.

Dr. Maryam Varzeshi

Dental Surgeon
After graduating with Master of Medical Laboratory Sciences from RMIT University and worked with Queensland Health Pathology for few years, Dr Varzeshi decided to change careers. She graduated from Griffith University and became a dentist as she was interested in caring for patients as well as the art of dentistry.

Dr Varzeshi is passionate about oral health care among different populations and worked with disadvantaged groups during her training in Queensland. After graduation she moved to Darwin to experience life and work at the Top End. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, including restorative, paediatric, endodontics, and oral surgery and is enthusiastic about continuing professional development.

Dr Varzeshi is always ready to explore new areas and make positive changes in life and she enjoys traveling and adventures outside the work. She also speaks Farsi in addition to English.

Dr. Pateer Mikael

Dentist

Dr. Mikael completed his education at Griffith University (QLD) with a Master of Dentistry and a Bachelor of Dental Health Science. Dr Mikael has a genuine interest in providing a healthy smile and improving his patient’s overall wellbeing.

During his time at Griffith University, Dr Mikael showcased a profound commitment to patient care by actively participating in research focused on minimizing dental anxiety. This reflects his passion for patient comfort and demonstrates his dedication to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry. Pateer thoroughly enjoys all aspects of dentistry with particular interest in oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics.
Outside of the field of dentistry, Dr Mikael enjoys travel, the mental stimulation of solving puzzles and spending time cooking with his family.

Mrs. Durga Malla Gurung

Dental Technician
Durga Malla Gurung completed her Dental Technician course from TAFE, Sydney. She has worked in a various Health sector as a Nurse. She came to Australia in 2008. She is currently working as a Dental Technician. Apart from this she loves to Dance and to Travel.

Ms. Nikita Rimal

Dental Assistant
Nikita is our dental assistant as well as the friendly face that greets you when you visit our practice at Ryde. She takes pride in her work and ensures a high quality of infection control for our patients on a daily basis. When asked, she always mentions her love of dentistry and the variety of patients that she gets to meet every day. She enjoys working with patients and is often found making everyone feel comfortable and at ease with her friendly and calming personality.

When away from work, Nikita spends her time watching movies and traveling. She considers herself a movie-buff and loves to chat about her favorite movies during her free time.

Mrs. Abha Shrestha

Dental Assistant
Abha is an overseas trained dentist from Nepal. She came to Australia in 2016 and foresees having a long term career in the dental field. She ensures all the patients feel welcomed. She also maintains high infection control standards in sterilisation. In her free time, she likes to do gardening, hiking and spending time with her loved ones.

Mr. Amar Maharjan

Practice Manager
Anju’s Husband, Amar is the Practice Manager. Amar qualified as an IT professional from Charles Sturt University in 2007 and worked in Sydney for four years. When Anju was qualified from ADC and set up her first dental clinic in 2011, Amar changed his careers to become the Practice Manager of their new dental clinic. Initially he was working part-time but soon after he worked full-time. On his spare time, Amar loves to spend time with his daughters Arisa & Amy, in photography and cycling.
